Family property
Resulting from a family of long wine tradition, Jean-Pierre Peyvergès received from his father the passion of the wine and the soil. In 1965, it is in the area of Bordeaux that it decides to take again the torch.
By its know-how, it made a point of making reappear the typicity of Bordeaux a long time remained in sleep of the castle which it acquired, and to give to its production, thanks to the noble type of vine reintroduction, the authenticity and the quality of a remarkable if not famous vintage.
The vines planted at that time are today in full force of the age and produce wines classified in label of origin controlled (A.O.C) Bordeaux, Bordeaux Supérieur, Bordeaux Clairet, Between-Two-Seas and Bordeaux Moelleux.
Alexis and Pascal, his sons, do not derogate from this family rule and operate a very rigorous selection of the pieces to collect healthy fruits and with perfect maturity. Lastly, the assembly of the wines resulting from various soils creates perfect balance between aromatic complexity, concentration and elegance.
The Peyvergès Vineyards are located at Casseuil, to 60 km de Bordeaux on 25ha of slopes dominating the Garonne. The Castle Courtiade, where, one, Charlemagne say had a residence of summer, kept the tradition of the soil which its history conferred to him.
